Airport transportation options
All of the hotels that were part of the 8th National Farm to Cafeteria Conference room block offer free shuttles from the airport. The only exception is the UW Residence Halls (Ogg Hall). Anyone staying at the Sheraton, Best Western, Hilton, Concourse or Edgewater can call their hotel to arrange for a complimentary shuttle pick up. There are courtesy phones located in the baggage claim area.
Organize a carpool:
Need to catch a ride from the airport to your hotel? We’ve set up a carpooling scheduler to help you connect with other conference attendees looking to share a ride. Click here to set up a carpool or find a ride for your arrival time. If you’re setting up a time, please indicate where other carpool members should meet you in the notes section. Please note this does NOT reserve a car for you, it just allows you to meet up with others who are arriving at the same time. You will still need to book a shuttle, or call a taxi – this just helps you coordinate with others to save transportation costs and lower our carbon footprint!
Other airport transportation options include:
- Airport Ground Transport including hotel shuttles
- Union Cab from Airport to Monona Terrace is $25 plus tip. They do not split fares—same cost no matter how many riders. (They are employee owned.) Cabs are waiting outside terminal on North end until the last arrival
- Bus trips are $2. Use the Madison NEXT Bus app to bus stops and arrival information. This map show the bus route from the airport to Monona Terrace
